Road racing, chili, beer, and good cheer, all in support of a great cause!

Achilles Canada’s mission is to enable people with all types of disabilities to participate in mainstream athletics, promote personal achievement, enhance self esteem, and lower barriers. The St. Patrick’s Day 5K is a great event to not only raise funds, but is also one of the most accessible races anywhere.

You just have to decide how you want to particpate with Tribe - run, cheer, or donate!

The race is 5k, and starts and ends in front of Steam Whistle, and while being a fast course, it has a couple deceptively challenging elements to test you (Spadina bridge twice, a 180-degree turn around, etc). Our team is the “Tribe Alcohooligans” and anyone can register before March 13th here. Use the promo code TRIBE19 to get a discount on your registration. Your registration fee obviously helps Achilles, but you may also want to consider donating an amount equivalent to your promo code savings (or more) to the team as well!

We have quite a contingent of runners this year, and we can always use some support along the course, especially on the Spadina bridge coming back! We could use a person or two head up a cheer squad, so if you are interested in coming out and being loud, let us know! Cheering gives back to the race more than you can imagine, boosting the experience for the runners and increasing the general reputation of the race, allowing them to attract more runners and sponsors going forward. Cheering helps Achilles too!

If you are unable to participate through running or cheering, please consider donating to Achilles though our team donation page. Achilles is one of the most inspiring organizations in sport, and we support their inclusive and empowering message!

More details about Tribe’s race day plan (kit pick up at Tribe, post-race hangout, etc) will be decided closer to race day.
